Infrared image denoising database

Welcome to use the infrared image denoising database in Raytron database

With the rapid development of infrared imaging technology, infrared imaging devices have been employed in more and more real applications. However, due to the special properties of infrared detectors and complicated environment, images captured by infrared cameras may easily suffer from different types of distortions, such as low contrast, blur and noise.


In this section, we mainly focus on infrared image denoising, since noise is the most common distortion. Here, at this time, we provide about 2000 pairs of real indoor and outdoor noisy infrared images as well as corresponding clear images by applying a series of complex denoising algorithms on those noisy images to obtain high-quality images. The resolution of provided images is 256*192. To our best knowledge, this is the first public dataset for infrared image denoising around the world. We sincerely hope that more and more scientific researchers could join us to improve infrared image quality and then promote infrared technology and applications. Moreover, we will continue updating this dataset by uploading more paired images with various resolutions and applications.
